Matthew G. Retzloff, MD, FACOG

Dr. Retzloff is a board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist with over 18 years of experience.  He is part of the fertility specialty team at the Fertility Center of San Antonio, a participating provider in the WINFertility Network.

Education and Certification

Dr. Retzloff received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO, and his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX.  He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the United States Air Force at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, and his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.

He is double-board-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility and Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Experience:

Dr Retzloff was born and raised in San Antonio, TX.  Prior to joining the Fertility Center of San Antonio, Dr. Retzloff served for 21 years in the United States Air Force where he directed the IVF program at Wilford Hall IVF Center at Lackland AFB, TX, and he led its transition to Brooke Army Medical Center in 2011.

He is a member of numerous scientific societies including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.  Dr. Retzloff has been published in various peer-reviewed journals including the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Fertility and Sterility and The Journal of Reproductive Medicine.
