The Fertility Center of San Antonio has an impressive history, offering assisted reproductive technology for over 30 years and being the first in Texas to offer office-based IVF. In 2005, they became the first in Texas to offer preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD). Their treatment advances and high success rates are just part of the picture, however. Personalized treatment plans individually tailored for each patient, an office setting and staff that respect your privacy, and a stable, supportive team environment, combine to make for a warm and caring experience for each patient.
Joseph E. Martin, MD, medical director, founded the Fertility Center of San Antonio more than 30 years ago. He earned a medical degree from the University of Texas, Galveston and completed his internship at Herman Hospital in Houston, then served in the Air Force for two years in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Martin is Board Certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Among many other accomplishments, he helped form the initial fertility program at Methodist Hospital and served as the program’s medical director.
The Fertility Center of San Antonio’s staff includes three fellowship-trained reproductive endocrinologists, an embryology lab director who is certified as a high-complexity clinical lab director, and several nurses, embryologists, medical assistants and administrative staff members. The office is known for its low turnover and comfortable, private atmosphere. Also, integration of innovative science and technology helps their patients become parents.
The Fertility Center has a state-of-the-art embryology and andrology laboratory in the office building, streamlining the fertility treatment process. In addition to traditional IVF, the Center offers Nature’s IVF, which utilizes INVOCell, a procedure in which incubation of embryos takes place inside the woman’s body instead of in a laboratory incubator.
